WANTED: Woman allegedly steals vehicle and shoots at Wasco victim

WASCO, Calif. – A woman in Kern County is currently on the run after authorities say she is the suspect in an assault with a deadly weapon incident.

On August 17, 2023, Nancy Gutierrez was approached by a Wasco man who was the victim of vehicle theft. At the time, Gutierrez was in the stolen vehicle.

When the victim approached the vehicle, he claims Gutierrez allegedly discharged a firearm in his direction. According to Bakersfield Now, Gutierrez is also accused of chasing the victim. The KCSO located firearms at the scene.

KSCO warns the public to take extra care if encountering Gutierrez as she may be armed.
